Infocom 2004 will spotlight Key technologies & trends
in the ICT sector through its extensive displays
and pavilions. These will encompass the following

BPO - ITES
In 2002-03 the Indian ITES-BPO industry has grown
by 59% . Total export revenues of the Indian IT-
enabled services industry in 2002 - 03 are US$ 2.3
bn (Rs. 11,300 crores), up from US$ 1.5 bn (Rs. 7,100
crores) in 2001-02 India has maintained its global
competitiveness offering the best combination of
costquality- scalability versus competing offshore
destinations such as the Philippines and China. The
Services sector is expected to generate revenue of
US $ 21-24 billion and employment for 1 million Indians
by 2008. ITES-BPO is an important IT issue. The ITES-BPO
section will be providing companies to intaract and
also take the benifit of "Job & Career Market" at
the venue.
Software & Solutions
Companies providing solutions for both hardware
and software for traditional markets, as well as
overseas market will be featured in this pavilion.
Telecom / Networking
/ ISP / Broadband
Companies providing solutions for communications
and networking technologies will be a part of this
pavilion. This exhibition area will also showcase
specialised hardware including wireless PAD's, handheld
devices, and WAP-enabled appliances. ISP's, Broadband
solutions & services will be on display here.
This pavilion will also feature satellite systems.
SME Business Area
A special pavilion willl highlight the strengths
and specialitites of small and medium-sized companies
in the areas of hardware, software, accessories,
consulting and services.
Peripheral Universe
Peripheral Universe will highlight technologies
available for the printing and computer accessories
arena. A wide variety of printers will be on display
here as well as state-of-the-art offerings in the
printing, bluetooth technologies, storage media & computer
accessories segments.
Multimedia / Animation/
Entertainment
An overview of the products available for the electronic
publishing , animation and entertainment markets
will be available here. Focus will therefore be on
mulltimedia software and hardware, CD-ROMs and computer
games.
Infrastructure
The INFOCOM 2004 exhibition will provide ideal platform
for infrastructure providers like IT Paks, ISP's
and telecom companies to display their services and
facilities.
BioInformatics
Biomedical research, an information- based discipline,
is undergoing a major revolution as novel experimental
approaches are yeilding unprecedented amounts of
data. Indeed, automation and information technology
are becoming integral parts of experimental processes,
impacting the way both academic and industrial research
is carried out. Indian companies today offer innovative
