Objective

Identifying, recognising and providing greater encouragement and impetus to the ICT industry for their contributions.

The Agenda

Award Categories

• Category I: Growth
• Category II: Profitability
• Category III: Innovation
• Category IV: Lifetime Achievement

  

The participating companies will be judged on the following parameters –

1. Growth over the past three years
2. Profitability over the same period
3. Innovation –either in process, product, customer care or marketing/branding or any other

    

   

Overall Methodology

a) For Categories I and II: Growth and Profitability

• Businessworld will work with database companies such as CMIE to extract the list of companies

  

• 3-5 year sales growth and profit growth figures across the 3 segments will be the basis of selection
• Businessworld will shortlist the top 5 companies in each category
• The jury will be presented with a dossier on each company’s performance, strengths, weaknesses and major strategic moves by the company in the last year
• Jury will discuss winners after deliberations

b) For Category III: Innovation

• There will be 3 awards in this category to the 3 industry segments
• The Award will be based on the nominations that the companies make of themselves or nominations made by the Jury or Businessworld’s own nominations
• Companies will be asked to submit innovations on various aspects like:

c) For category IV: Lifetime Achievement

• Nominations provided to the Jury by the Businessworld team
• Self nominations or nomination by a jury is acceptable
• Parameters for selection:

1. A person who has retired more than a year ago or is at the last leg of his career from either of the 3 sectors
2. Should have had provided a leadership role in the industry
3. Contributed extensively to the growth and development of the industry over the last 20 years
4. Having one or more outstanding contributions to the industry
5. Has had a significant impact on the industry
