INFOCOM QUIZZIT 08-09
 
Quizzing has been an integral part of INFOCOM over the years. Massively promoted in major cities across India, the best brains from hundreds of schools, colleges and premier tech institutes come together to participate.

INFOCOM Quizzit started in a small way 4 years ago and today has become one of the largest Quiz programmes in the country. INFOCOM Quizzit 2006 was a grand success wherein the quiz was held across 7 major cities in Eastern India starting from August '06 which culminated into the Grand Finale hosted by the quizzing wizard Giri 'Pickbrain' Balasubramanium at the INFOCOM 2006 exhibition in Calcutta in December 2006.

INFOCOM Quizzit is unique among all quizzes in the country as it tests the knowledge of Individuals rather than persons working as teams. This format has been so successful that it has grown from attracting 150 participants in its first year to 3000 last year.

The attractive prizes on offer have played a role in spreading its popularity. Every correct answer is assured a gift in the form of a movie DVD or music CD. After every round of the quiz in Calcutta, a luck draw is organized where we have given away DVD players. Last year 14 DVD players were distributed. Certificates of merit are also given to the top 3 winners from every regional round which adds value to the student.
INFOCOM Quizzit 07-08 took quizzing to a different level and comprised of various regional rounds held at 9 major cities in and around east and south, and was held across the year, with the finalists battling it out at the Grand Finale at INFOCOM 07-08, Calcutta on February 24, 2008. The Grand Finale at Calcutta was again hosted by the quizzing wizard Giri 'Pickbrain' Balasubramaniam.

INFOCOM Quizzit 08-09 will be massively promoted in cities across India. It can be easily expected that the best brains from more than 200 schools, colleges and premier tech institutes will try to prove their mettle across various locations. And win amazing prizes. The Quiz at Calcutta will be for all 4 days of INFOCOM 08-09 from January 15-18, 2009 at the Exhibition and will be culminating in a grand finale on the last day.

Jamshedpur Round 19th January, 2009 at Michael John Auditorium, Jamshedpur. Registration time:
2.30 pm

Ranchi Round on 20th January, 2009 at Ranchi Club (Rotary Auditorium). Registration time; 2.30 pm

Bhubaneshwar Round on 10th January, 2009 at KIIT Campus 7 Auditorium, Bhubaneshwar. Registration time: 12 noon

Calcutta Round on 12th January, 2009 at IIIT Campus, Indismart Centre, EN 34, Sector V, Salt Lake, Calcutta - 700091. Registration time: 12 noon

Haldia Round on 13th January, 2009 at Haldia Institutute of Technology Campus. Registration at 2.00 pm

Durgapur Round on 14th January, 2009 at the B.C. Roy Engineering College. Registration at 2.00 pm
