These 15 papers would be published in “The IFLA 2011 Compendium” – which will be released on December 9, 2011 at INFOCOM 2011 at the ITC Sonar, Calcutta.
The results of Phase 2 – The final 6 winners would be announced by the 25th November, 2011. These six winners would be brought to attend IFLA @ INFOCOM 2011 where they will be awarded with trophies, certificates and the respective cash prizes.
IFLA -under the aegis of the main event, INFOCOM -is an endeavor to identify & groom the young global leaders of future. It is India’s most prestigious open paper writing competition for management students across the globe.
Every INFOCOM has a theme and since IFLA is an integral part of the main event, papers are invited from first and final year students from select B Schools across the world on the theme of INFOCOM. Out of all the entries, six best entries are selected by a distinguished panel of jury. These award winning students are felicitated at a special IFLA ceremony at INFOCOM. The award comprises a trophy and a certificate given to each winner along with exciting cash prizes.
The past success of the competition has encouraged us to create a bigger and better IFLA.
IFLA 2011, the sixth edition of the event, aims to reach more students across the globe through its high decibel promotions while maintaining stricter screening procedures. All winners would receive a cash award in addition to the certificate & trophy- the amounts varying according to the ranking.
The event format:
- Business Schools from India and abroad will participate
- Eligibility: Full-time students of post-graduate management programmes leading to a diploma or degree recognized as equivalent to Master of Business Administration (MBA)
- Students will submit papers (3000 words) on the theme of IFLA 2011: "Inclusion".
- Evaluation will be done by a distinguished panel comprising of ICT industry experts & academicians
- 6 Top winners will be awarded at a special IFLA Ceremony at INFOCOM on December 9, 2011 in Calcutta, India
- Each of the 6 winners will get cash prizes, trophies and certificates and a fully sponsored trip to Calcutta, India to attend the award ceremony.
- Winners will present their papers at the conference
- The IFLA Commemorative Book containing the top 15 papers will be released at the event
- IFLA is an event that is attended by the who’s who of Calcutta and the delegates from the industry.

| Brief on the topic: | The focus this year is on Inclusion which stands for inclusive growth and activism. As a society, it is our responsibility to remove all barriers which uphold exclusion. Inclusion is recognizing our universal "oneness" and interdependence. It also means acknowledging that we are "one" even though we are not the "same". Inclusiveness can help bring into mainstream, those who are otherwise excluded from mainline developments. You may look at inclusiveness in the financial services, in education and health at both the urban and rural level, in information and communication, in agriculture etc., or in any other areas of your choice. |

The best 15 papers will be short listed. 2nd Step: These 15 papers will be judged by a panel of international jury comprising of renowned academicians and corporate leaders from across the globe. The top six winners will thus be selected. |
The award
- The Top six winners will receive CASH PRIZES as below:
Best paper USD 4000 Second prize USD 2000 Third and fourth prize USD 1500 each Fifth and sixth prize USD 1000 each - The Top six winners will get an all expenses paid trip to Calcutta, India to collect the INFOCOM FUTURE LEADERSHIP AWARDS 2011. (Air ticket, boarding, lodging expenses will be provided by the organiser)
- Authors of the top six papers will be presented a trophy and a certificate during the IFLA ceremony at INFOCOM 2011 at the Hotel ITC Sonar, Calcutta, West Bengal, India on December 9, 2011.
- All six winners will be asked to present their papers at the INFOCOM 2011 Conference in Calcutta.
- The top 15 papers would also be published in the form of the “IFLA 2011 Compendium”, a commemorative book which will be released during INFOCOM 2011 in Calcutta. This book will also contain details of the six winners and the distinguished Jury members.
